Walsall Football Club celebrate our 125th year as a football club and tomorrows game with Aston Villa is one for celebration as we play host to the side we first met as an established football league club back in 1888.

At 6.30pm – former Walsall manager Ray Graydon and Saddlers legend, Mick Kearns will unveil a commemorative plaque to mark our 125th anniversary.

At 7pm – Ray Graydon will attend the Bescot Bar to speak to supporters and reminisce of our great achievements under his stewardship.

Also tomorrow night we welcome three managers that achieved promotion with the Saddlers – Tommy Coakley, Chris Nicholl and Ray Graydon.

We also welcome back former players; Albert McPherson, Jimmy McMorran, Jimmy McEwan Stan Jones, Mick Evans, Ken Hodgkisson, George Meek, Keith Ball, Andy Reece, Jack Bridgett, George Dean, Alan Roper, Alec Jackson, Ian Roper and Kenny Mower.

In addition to former managers and players, we remember the Saddlers who are sadly no longer with us and welcome special guests – Robin Alsop (the son of one of our greatest-ever players) Gilbert Alsop, Joan Richards is the widow of Saddlers` legend, Tony Richards and Annie Allman is the widow of one of the most prolific writers and historians of Walsall FC, Geoff Allman.

All the guests mentioned above will be unveiled to the crowd at half time to give both Walsall and Aston Villa fans the chance to show their appreciation to past legends of both clubs.

Tickets for this match are still on sale and admission is £12 (adults) and £6 (concessions) for all areas of the stadium.
