Seven players have left the club after their end of the season meeting with manager Chris Hutchings whereas 9 players have had their contracts renewed including Manny Smith, who has earned himself a two year deal.

Mark Bradley, Netan Sansara, Dwayne Mattis, Sam Adkins, Peter Till, Josh O’ Keefe and Richard Davies have all said goodbye after Hutchings decided not to renew their contracts.

Jamie Vincent, Richard Taundry, Mark Hughes, Alex Nicholls, Darryl Westlake, Rene Gilmartin, Will Grigg and Julian Gray have all gained a one year deal.

Hutchings said, speaking to the official Walsall site: ”At this time of the year some difficult decisions have to be made but we would like to thank every player for their hard work and effort during their time at Walsall Football Club.’

Manny Smith is the only one to be offered a two year deal, after impressing the boss.

Speaking to the official Walsall site Smith said: ‘ ‘I’m committed to this football club and am just pleased to have my future sorted out. ‘The aim now is to continue to push on and help take the club forward.’

There are no real surprises in the bunch, though Mattis could have had a stab with one more year. O Keefe has featured this season but has failed to make his name in the team.

This makes way for a few new faces in the coming season, we wait to see how generous Bonser will be with his finances.
