Kinsella Signs New Deal

|

Walsall have today confirmed Liam Kinsella has agreed a new two year deal with the Saddlers – as reported by us yesterday morning.

Kinsella signing a new deal is a welcome boost with the team returning to training today.

Liam won the 2018/19 Young Player of the Season award and won Goal of the Season for his FA Cup winner at Sunderland.

He also won Community Player of the Year for his outstanding contribution to the local area.

Kinsella who has represented Ireland at all youth levels enjoyed his most successful spell as a Walsall player last season featuring in thirty-nine games for the Saddlers scoring one goal.

Kinsella has been at the club for fifteen years since arriving as a youth player, aged just eight in 2004.

Liam is the son of former Walsall and Ireland captain Mark Kinsella and the brother of talented English gymnast Alice.

He finally made his Saddlers debut in August 2014 against Bradford City and was named man of the match. His first goal for the Saddlers came in October 2015 against Burton Albion which sent the Saddlers top of League 1.

We at Vital Walsall are delighted that Kinsella has penned a new deal.
