Whing is a free agent after being told he is free to leave Coventry in the summer and sources at the Sky Blues suggested he was set for a move to Walsall.
However in todays Express and Star things appear not as clear cut. As Whing, speaking for the first time about the move, said he has not heard from Saddlers boss Richard Money and did not expect to link up with him.
Whing said: “To be honest I haven`t had any contact with contact with Walsall and I can`t really see it happening either.”
So the mystery deepens. There maybe more detail in the paper. However it would appear that the two parties aren’t interested in each other so watch this space.
