Another cup exit for Saddlers

BRENTFORD 1-0 WALSALL (FA Cup R2)

It was a case of too little too late for the Saddlers, as they exited yet another cup competition.

A first senior goal for Bees defender Leon Legge on 13 minutes after a John Bostock corner.

More goals nearly came for the Bees, with Mark Hughes and Matty Richards clearing efforts off the line in the first half.

In the second half, the Saddlers on-slaught began, but Bees keeper Lewis Price denied Richards and Troy Deeney, while Steveie Jones was bravely tackled by goalscorer Legge.

It meant the Saddlers were shown the door to yet another competition, with only the league left to bring any success this season.
