The Saddlers have added local sides Aston Villa and Rushall Olympic to our summer schedule as our pre season starts to take shape.
We will travel to Rushall Olympic on Friday 6th Jult (kick off 7.30pm before facing Aston Villa (for the 900th time) at the Banks’s Stadium on Tuesday 17th July with the match set to kick-off at 7.45pm.
Rushall Olympic were broken into last week and have made great strides to rectify the damage, they ran a donation page on Just Giving page in the hope of raising £1,000 – the club have surpassed that with the total currently standing at £1,400. It would be great to see as many Saddlers fans down there for our friendly and help give more to one of our local clubs.
Talking of donations, our biggest local club – Aston Villa are reportedly in trouble for other reasons with the press stating they have a missed payment with HMRC and current chairman Xi is struggling to move money from China. They may also need donations soon.
