Can we continue our away form improvement at Prenton Park

KB speaks

He describes Rovers manager as a man he respects ‘as a manager and a man’ However the niceties will stop at 7.45 friday night. But KB expects a tough game, stating
‘I saw them win 4-1 last saturday and they took their chances very well’….unlike us eh Kev
He continued ‘They’ve got Chris Greenacre who I’ve worked with before and the lad Zola from Newcastle and Delroy Facey so there’s goals in the team’
This could well be the difference between the two teams on the night.

Tranmere Rovers Team News:

Expect a team very similar to saturday if not the same. The only absent player being the long term injury to their keeper.

Player to watch: Chris Greenacre

Details on another article
Having scored in the last two games following a barren run he willbe looking to hit his 17 goal of the season. He will be assisted by the big more phyiscal approach of Zola. Also on a rich vien of form is ex Shrewsbury player Sam Aiston

Walsall Team News:

To change or not to change that is the question.
The team in general performed well but Roper returns from suspension, Chris Westwood and Mads Timm all played in the midweek reserve fixture to push for a place in the team. A question mark exists over Daniel Fox’s fitness, so if not passed fit despite training all week midfielder Grant Smith will step in. Keates should also be in contention, whilst up front nobody stands out as a must pick…someone needs to grab the goal getting standard soon. Devlin having scored on Sunday is worth his place.

Player to watch: Pablo Mills

Like Simon Osborn plays his last game before suspension. The fans would appreciate another all action display. He has impressed in defence and midfield since his loan move from Derby. The experience he gained at MK Dons has meant he hasn’t need the time the likes of Barrowman has to adjust to the division.

Match Facts & Stats

Last meeting at Bescot was a dour 0-0 affair, Tranmere at the time were on a bad run and came for the draw. In truth we never looked like breaking them down.
Our form since Merse’s departure has been steady if not spectacular with away draws at Swansea,Southend and Colchester. Tranmere are on a richer vein of form comming in on the back of a 4-1 hammering of Chesterfield.

Match Prediction:

The form book say’s home win, we are now on the closing stages of the season a draw is the minimium requirement.
