Walsall have signed KV Mechelen Under 19 midfielder Omar Mussa according to the Belgians Instagram page.
It is understood that Mussa has signed a deal with the Saddlers until the end of the season with the hope of impressing Walsall boss Dean Keates and earning a longer stay at the club.
I would imagine that Mussa will have a deal very similar to Butterfield with him spending time on loan, although we are just guessing so don’t quote us on it.
We understand that Mussa is an attacking minded midfielder and has recently played for Belgian Under 19’s in their 3-0 win over Ireland.
With Matt Jarvis arriving along with Mussa it seems Keates wanted to reinforce his midfield options however we hope his attentions will now be focussed on the defence as the Saddlers conceded our fortieth and forty-first goal of the season during our 2-1 defeat to Charlton this afternoon.
The defeat against Charlton sees the Saddlers just five points above the drop zone.
