There was no need for nytol at Saturday’s game against Gillingham, mainly because from a Saddlers point of view there was nothing to cheers whatsoever!

Fair play to Sam Parkin. He may have had one of the only shots of the game (in a red shirt), but even though it went hopelessly wide, at least it was a shot.

The signing of Darren ‘Dazzle’ Byfield is not so much a ‘coup,’ but a desperate attempt to rectify the goalscoring situation at the Banks’s.

However, the stats do not lie and he is useless in front of goal, but at least he puts a shift in, as they say!

Goals are becoming some what of an issue, but at least the defence is ok…or getting lucky. Gillingham nearly buried the Saddlers deep under sand with their swift counter-attacking moves, which brought out the best in Ince. It’s no wonder we have only won once this season.

With the transfer window nearly over, I can’t see the Saddlers bringing anyone in. Lack of funds and interest from players in joining the club could prove difficult if Hutch has any plans to strengthen the squad, which in my opinion needs to happen.

I hate to say it, but we need another defender, midfielder, and a striker. Roberts looked rusty and did not get to grips with the oppositionb at times, while Manny Smith looks lost.

Mattis and Richards in midfield look ok, but another midfielder with more quality would be more ideal (this is not going to happen).

And finally, of course, we need another striker to acutally help Super Sammy Parkin and take the pressure off Troy Deeney.

Will this happen….not with Bonser waving the cheque-book!
