Well today is the day the form book goes out of the window, who wants it most who prepared best who hasn’t eaten too much turkey and pudding.

No doubt the Shrews have taken the game seriously since rumours have been going round about them having a Xmas day hotel stay? However the coments earlier in the season about MK Dons been the only team to look better than The Shrews should be pinned up in the home dressing room…team talk done.

Who will be in that dressing room is a little less certain. Big Clayton Ince in goal of course. However a head injury to Gerrard may rule him out but Roper returns after suspension. Westwood Dann and Taylor and Fox compete for the other positions, Picken due back in the new year. Midfield Wrack hopes to be fit but that is not certain, Keates is still doubtful, out wide Bedeau, Wright, Fox and Demontagac fit it out. Up front Butler returns and more than likely will regain his spot alongside either Tommt Wright or Sam, I would go for Wright.

Shrewsbury, less news is forthcoming about there team with Derek Assamoah been there only reported doubt. Keep an eye on Paul Merson target Ben Davies in midfield.

Past history favours the saddlers but both teams will be looking to bounce back from bad results. However it is interesting that two away draws is now considered a bad run by the Saddlers…thats how high the standards have been set. For most Saddlers fans it is all about picking points up before January to keep top spot until injuries clear up and new signings Geordie Lyall and Par Cederqvist are unleashed with the promise of two more new faces.

It will be tough physical battle, but Walsall should be capable of taking all three points.

Next up saturday, Bristol Rovers at Home.
