Blackburn Surprise Move For Future England Star

|

Blackburn Rovers have today made the surprise signing of Walsall striker Mitch Candlin on a loan deal until January with the deal expected to be made permanent in the next transfer window.

Candlin has eight appearances to his name, his first professional bow for Walsall came in April 2017 where he came on as a substitute during our 1-0 defeat to Bradford City at Valley Parade.

Following his stint in the side at the end of the 2016/17 season Candlin was awarded with his first professional contract in August 2017.

Candlin scored his first goal for the Saddlers in our 2-1 friendly win over Chester last summer.

Candlins exploits got him a call from England Under 18 last year and the young starlet spent two days with the England side at St George’s Park ahead of friendlies against South Africa and Brazil.

Everyone at Vital Walsall wishes Mitch the best of luck for his loan spell with Blackburn and wish him the best of luck for his future.
