Boss Launches Scathing Attack On Former Player

|

Former Walsall striker and now Coventry City manager Mark Robins sensationally launched a scathing attack on former Walsall striker Amadou Bakayoko for his performance for Coventry City against Blackpool on Tuesday evening.

Bakayoko joined the Sky Blues earlier this month for a fee believed to be £200,000 and despite scoring a penalty last weekend his performance on Tuesday night didn’t draw plaudits from his new boss or supporters.

When asked about Bakayoko’s performance, Robins said

“It looked like it was the first time he’d been out there.”

“It looked like he wasn’t playing with any thought whatsoever, which is unusual”

“Clearly I don’t know him that well yet and his personality yet, but I hope I don’t see that side of his personality again”

Bakayoko scored eighteen goals in one hundred and six appearances for the Saddlers.

It remains to be seen whether Bakayoko will come out fighting but if he wants to continue playing at League 1 level he will need to!
