Walsall were given a boost today by the news that top scorer, Tom Bradshaw is fit and ready to face Doncaster on Saturday.
Bradshaw had previously missed the last two games which has seen us fail to score and Bradshaw still remains the only striker to have scored this season, with Mathieu Manset and Ashley Grimes still drawing a blank.
Smith confirmed that long term absentees:- Ben Purkiss, Sam Mantom and Jordon Cook are all back in training and Smith is confident that this time next week he will have his squad to choose from.
Smith said “Tom Bradshaw will be fit for Saturday and I am hoping to have all of the players training this week which is fantastic news for us,”
“That includes Ben Purkiss who trained with us Friday, James Chambers, Jordan Cook and Sam Mantom so it was a case of weathering the storm over the last few weeks’
The injured trio are expected some game time for our reserves against Chasetown this week.
