Walsall have today confirmed the departure of head goalkeeping coach Neil Cutler.

Cutler has today joined Premier League neighbours West Bromwich Albion and joins Alan Pardews coaching staff.

Cutler has been instrumental at this club since arriving in 2013 and improved both Richard O’Donnell and Neil Etheridge during their time here.

Cutler has become one of the best goalkeeping coaches in the Football League and his departure will come as a big shock to everyone connected with Walsall FC.

Cutler joined the Saddlers following Scunthorpes relegation to League 2. During Cutlers career he played for WBA, Coventry, Aston Villa, Crewe, Stoke, Stockport, Rotherham and Bury before ending his career with Scunthorpe.

The departure of Cutler is another devastating blow to the Saddlers, however we wish him the best of luck for the future.
