Here are all the stats from yesterdays 1-1 draw at Scunthorpe United.

The Saddlers continued our unbeaten start to the new League 1 season making it four points from two tough league games.

The Saddlers should have had all three points but will be left scratching their heads how we didn’t leave with all three.

Novak scored the games opening goal following poor defending from the Saddlers but Zeli Ismail equalised on the sixty-fourth minute from the penalty spot.

The Saddlers should have got all three points in the closing stages but Andy Cook hit the crossbar with his header and then Ferrier followed up sending his acrobatics wide of the goal.

The stats don’t tell the whole story and it was one way traffic with wave after wave of Walsall attacks.

We now travel to Tranmere on Tuesday night in the Carabao Cup before returning back to league action next Saturday as we face Gillingham at the Banks’s Stadium.
