Nope this is not a joke but the League Cup First Round Draw (now known as the Carabao Cup) will take place in Morrisons in Colindale on Thursday 20th June at 7pm.
The draw will be streamed live on the Carabao Cup Facebook page with regular updates on the EFL Twitter pages.
The Saddlers have only progressed to Round Three on one occaastion in the past sixteen years – this came in 2015/16 season where the Saddlers lost to Chelsea in Round Three after defeating Nottingham Forest and Brighton in first two rounds.
The Saddlers best ever performance in the League Cup came in 1983/84 where we lost in the semi-finals against Liverpool.
Seventy EFL Clubs will feature in the Round One draw which will see teams drawn in Northern and Southern sections, as in 2018.
The seventy EFL Clubs will be made up of the forty eight sides in Leagues 1 and 2 plus every Championship side apart from Fulham and Cardiff City.
Matches are scheduled to take place week commencing 12th August.
