Having played 90 minutes in the reserve game against Port Vale, Richard Money has signed the dribbler he wanted. With the signing of Portuguese winger Carlos Fangueiro.

Despite been described as the poor mans Luis Figo, Walsall fans hope he will be the lucky winger that Scott Houghton proved to be when we last got out of this division. Carlos had a one year contract at Millwall, getting just thirteen outings with the London club, scoring once in the Championship. He was released by them in the Summer following there relelgation and was reportedly on trial at Plymouth, coming close to getting a deal with them, as well as having a trial with New York Metro Stars.

Back home in Portugal, he has played for five different teams, having a reputation as a hard working winger. Also as a provider rather than a goal scorer although like Tony Bedeau, he can play through the centre as a striker.

Perhaps it is useful that he has already had a season in england to get used to the ‘British style’ of play. However I still feel that the style of some league two full backs may come as an eye opener to the Portugal star. However I expect the boots will do the talking!!

Carlos will go straight into the squad for tomorrow`s clash at Lincoln.
