We first revealed the news on our Twitter feed but Walsall have now confirmed that twin brothers Adam and James Chambers have both signed new deals.

Adam has signed a new two-year deal whilst brother James has penned a one-year deal with the option of a second.

Adam Chambers arrived at Walsall in the summer of 2011 following his release from Leyton Orient. Since his move two years ago, Adam has improved greatly and became a massive hit with the fans following his great partnership with Sam Mantom. During his two years, he has scored two goals – one on his debut with a 30-yarder against his former club Orient.

James signed for the club on the eve of last season and went on to become a major figure in his full-back role, keeping Ben Purkiss out the side.

Adam said “I`m very pleased to have signed this new deal,” said Adam. “It`s a situation that has been ongoing for a while, but I am glad it has been done and dusted now because I thoroughly enjoy it here and can concentrate on the season ahead.

“The club showed last season that we are moving in the right direction and hopefully that progress will continue’

This is a massive boost to the Saddlers with both influential with our great run.

We await further news of the contract deals offered to Westcarr, Purkiss, Brandy and Grigg and will update you as soon as we can.
