Walsall FC Allstars took on the Wolverhampton Wanderers Allstars on Thursday evening in order to raise money for three childrens cancer charities.

After the game the event which was held at The Banks’ stadium, staged a raffle and an auction in order to add funds to the entrance fees and all proceeds went to CLIC Sargent, Oxford children’s hospital and Fatboys.

A 400 strong crowd were in attendance to watch former favourites from both clubs battle it out once more on the Banks’ pitch and contribute to te wonderful childrens charities.

The game itself went well for the Saddlers after a rocky start which saw Wolves man (and one time Walsall loanee) Tony Dinning put the Saddlers behind after 21 minutes.

On 26 minutes former fan favourite Zigor Aranalde lashed home an equaliser before former captain Martin Butler gained a hat trick to earn Walsall Allstars a 4-1 victory.

A fun and successful night had by all, and even better all benefitting some very, very worthy causes.
