Walsall boss Darrell Clarke was frustrated at the performance from his Saddlers side in the final thirty minutes against Notts County yesterday.
The Saddlers went into half time 1-0 up but a whole host of substitutions on the hour mark disrupted the tempo of the game which the Saddlers went onto lose 2-1 and Walsall boss Darrell Clarke didn’t hold back on his assessment of the game.
The Saddlers took the lead thanks to a goal by Dan Scarr just before half time however a double from Enzio Boldewijn was enough for Notts County to win the game.
Speaking to the Express and Star, Clarke said
“I thought the first 60 mins were brilliant. We were really good. We were on the front foot and should have had 2 or 3 goals. The last 30 mins, s***e!”
“It was not good enough. We have got some young lads out here but they have got to learn quickly. It is as simple as that.”
“I’m not going to gloss over the last 30 minutes.”
Clarke has been known throughout his managerial career to be ruthless, if these youngsters and second string don’t do what he asks then they won’t be at the club for long.
