Clarke Tells Players They Have Eleven Games To Prove Their Worth

|

Walsall boss Darrell Clarke has called on his players to prove their worth with the January transfer window just eleven games away.

The Saddlers suffered our sixth defeat of the season and our second successive game of shipping in three goals leaving the Saddlers 19th in League 2.

Speaking to the Express and Star, Clarke said

DC says players need to show him in the next 11 games that they are capable before the window reopens.

“They have to show me that they’re going to be top seven League Two players & they’ll be a few that fall by the wayside”

“They’ll get them opportunities in the next 11 games to show me in the second quarter before the window opens that theyre capable of getting promotion”

I think most understand that this year is all about rebuilding but 19th in League 2 is not acceptable for a club which was on the verge of Championship football just under four years ago.

There are certain players not showing enough and despite a new era and 90% of new players it has the same inconsistent feel to last season.

Despite relegation the supporters have turned up in their numbers and continue to support the club, it’s time to give them something back.

The fans have stepped up, It’s up to Darrell and the players to start proving their worth.
