Walsall striker Andy Cook has today missed out on Sky Bet League 1 player of the month and the PFA Bristol Motors fans player of the month for January.
Luton Town’s James Collins won the Sky Bet League 1 player of the month award after scoring six goals in January and Plymouth Argyles Ruben Lameiras picked up the fans award.
Andy Cook was in fine form in January scoring five league goals and one cup goal however his form wasn’t recognised by a panel of judges including former Saddler Don Goodman…oh well better news for us that he isn’t in the spotlight!
Cookie who has scored sixteen goals this season will be hoping to continue his fine form as we travel to face Blackpool tomorrow knowing a defeat will push us closer to the relegation zone however a win will give us daylight from the bottom four with relegation threatened Wimbledon coming to the Banks’s Stadium on Tuesday night.
