Neil Moxey of Daily Mail has reignited the rumours of Coventry City becoming tennants at The Banks’s Stadium following Coventry’s decision to leave the Ricoh Stadium following issues with landlords SISU.

Moxey states ‘Approaches have been made to the Saddlers and they are now the hot favourites to host Coventry matches next season. Speculation that Northampton Rugby Club and Hinckley United are also in the running appears wide of the mark’

Coventry City’s Chief Executive Tim Fisher said ‘It is with great regret that we now have no alternative but to look at other arrangements for next season and we would failing the club, supporters and staff if we do not start making the relevant plans now.
‘The club is keeping the relevant authorities fully informed of developments and we will keep everyone informed when there is specific further news.’

It remains to be seen whether there is true substance to this rumour once more but it would seem that IF Walsall and Coventry were to share the Banks’s Stadium then you would imagine plans will need to be put in place before the release of the fixtures, next month.

I’ll be interested to hear the thoughts of both Walsall and Coventry fans on this….
