The games are coming thick and fast but at the wrong time! We could have done with having 20 games in September.

We make our first ever trip to Crawley and its the first match between both sides

I sound like a broken record but Walsall come into this game on the back of our FA Cup defeat to Blue Square Premier Lincoln City. Not only did we lose our previous game but it has been 12 league and cup games since we last tasted victory and upcoming games against Crawley and Tranmere isnt ideal.

Vital Quotes:

Crawley manager Richie Barker said ‘We won’t be taking it lightly. Dean Smith works on a very tight budget down there.

‘They are a young side with energetic and enthusiastic players. They’ll pass the ball about and play the game in the right way so it should be a decent football match.’

Crawley Team News:

Crawley Town utility player Shaun Cooper has been ruled out after having an injection in his hip.

Gary Alexander could return after being rested last weekend while fellow striker Jonathan Forte’s loan spell comes to an end after the match.

Former Walsall star Matt Sadler will play against his former side.

Player to watch: Nicky Adams

Crawley have goals from all over this season but the man to watch is young midfielder Nicky Adams.

He is in a rich vain of form since signing from Rochdale and has scored 6 goals already this term.

Walsall Team News:

News flowing through local social networking sites would indicate a new loan signing before tomorrows game so watch this space…

Walsall will have defender Andy Taylor (hamstring) back, while striker Will Grigg has returned from international duty with Northern Ireland.
On loan midfielder Sam Mantom also returns having been ineligible for the Cup game.

However midfielder Florent Cuvelier is still out with a hamstring injury and defender Ben Purkiss is still a week away from returning.

Player to watch: No-one

Considering our management wont play our leading goalscorer and no player is playing well I am going to boycott this section this week…

Match Facts & Stats

No previous match between both sides.
Walsall winless in 12
Crawley have lost 1 in last 6.

Ref Watch:

Tomorrows man in the middle is David Phillips from West Sussex. So far this season David has refereed 6 League 1 games, dishing out 27 yellow cards, 1 red card and a penalty!!

Match Prediction:

I dont expect anything out of our next two games and can see us in the bottom 4 at Christmas, but it would be Walsall like if we went and beat Crawley tomorrow.
