Last Saturday, lifelong Walsall fan Ryan Harvey was enjoying a summer get-together with fellow Walsall fans and friends in Blackpool, where he was assaulted. He sadly passed away on Tuesday aged just twenty-two. Two men have been charged with murder.

Next Saturday before our pre-season friendly with Aston Villa there will be a cycle and walk for Ryan with all proceeds going towards Ryan’s fund to help and support his family during these heart-breaking times.

At 10am supporters and friends are meeting at The Spotted Cow, Bloxwich (WS3 2EZ) and will cycle to The Railway Club (WS1 4JG) – around 11am people are asked to greet and applaud those that have taken part in the cycle, donation buckets will be on hand for anyone wishing to add to Ryan’s Fund.

At approximately 12:15 everyone will begin walking down Bescot Crescent to The Poundland Bescot Stadium for the pre-season friendly, again donation buckets will be on hand.

At the stadium and surrounding areas there will be buckets on hand for anyone wishing to make donations if unable to attend the Cycle/Walk for Ryan.

For anyone unable to attend the game on Saturday please continue to donate on the link here

Ryan’s fund currently stands at £9,675

Our continued thoughts and prayers go out to Ryan’s family and friends at this time.
