Dean Smith Scoops Manager Of The Month Award

Walsall boss Dean Smith has been named League 1 Manager Of The Month for August.

The Saddlers picked up a thirteen points out of a possible fifteen and defeated Championship sides Brighton and Nottingham Forest in the Capital One Cup.

In August, the Saddlers defeated Rochdale, Blackpool, Coventry and Southend – whilst drawing with Oldham on the opening day. Our reward for our fine start is a home tie with Chelsea in the Capital One Cup Third Round.

We now have the dreaded manager of the month curse hanging over us as we host Bury tomorrow.
