Walsall travel to The Keepmpoat Stadium to take on high flying Doncaster in what will be our biggest test this season.

Vital Quotes:

Brian Flynn ‘Last week was a one-off type of game given how we conceded the goals, luckily it hasn’t done us too much harm.

‘There’s no signings imminent but that doesn’t mean we aren’t working hard behind the scenes.

‘They’re very strong going forward and I’ve always been impressed when I’ve seen them play.

‘They’ve got an international forward in Will Grigg and Febian Brandy had an absolutely great grounding in the game from Manchester United.’

Deano ‘It’s all about seeing a progression and improving on last year. With 15 games to go, we find ourselves in a good position but by the same token, we know that we have some difficult encounters ahead and they don’t come much tougher than Saturday’s trip to Doncaster.

They have got quality throughout their side and have been up there all season, as we expected following our 3-0 opening day reverse. Although, on that occasion we saw plenty of the ball and played some good stuff, it’s just that they were more clinical on the day’

Doncaster Team News:

Doncaster will be without David Syers and Iain Hume.

Syers was forced off in the defeat at Bury last week and could be replaced by Lee Fowler, while Hume has not featured since mid-January.

Player to watch: David Cotterill

David Cotterill is the best player in this division.

His assists and goals this season have helped Doncaster cement themselves as serious title challengers.

Walsall Team News:

Walsall’s only injury concern is Richard Taundry who has only just returned to training.

Walsall have seen legendary keeper Jimmy Walker depart and assistant boss David Kelly.

Player to watch: Will Grigg

Will Grigg has come of age this season!

Some of his performances have been of the highest quality and this has been epitomised with his start for Northern Ireland this week.

Match Facts & Stats

We have played Doncaster 56 times in our history. With us winning 25 to Doncaster’s 21.

Our last trip to Doncaster ended in an exciting 3-2 victory thanks to goals from Fox, Bradley and Mooney.

Ref Watch:

The man in the middle is James Adcock from Nottingham.

Adcock has refereed two Walsall games in his career. A 2-1 win against Shrewsbury in 2011 and a 3-1 defeat against Stevenage in 2012.

This season Adcock has dished out 46 yellow cards and 2 red.

Match Prediction:

We were taught a footballing lesson on the opening day of the season and this will be a toughest game since then.

Will take a point all day long.
