Walsall defender Paul Downing has today said that the sales of Wembley tickets is incredible and beyond their wildest dreams, as the figure creeps nearer to 30,000.
Speaking to Expressandstar.com; Downing said ‘It`s incredible,” “We have played in front of nowhere near that number of fans.’
“It is a credit to both clubs, for us to have captured the imagination of all the fans and to have sold that number has outgrown anyone`s wildest predictions.’
“We can`t thank the fans enough for the support they are going to give us.”
“With the number of tickets being sold, it is going to be a great atmosphere.”
Walsall’s average home attendance this season is 4,546 and to be approaching 30,000 is unthinkable and credit to all that has purchased a ticket so far.
The highest attendance at the new Wembley for a JPT Final is 73,476 and with eleven days to go both Bristol City and Walsall will be looking to smash that figure.
