Early-Bird Launch Approaches

|

On Saturday, the club will launch its Early-Bird campaign. Here is all you need to know about the deal, and my views on it.

So what are the facts with it all. Prices have stayed the same as seen in the table below, taken directly from the clubs website –

The club have also included a cashback scheme for fans, if the club reach sales over 3000+, the full details of this can be found here – https://www.saddlers.co.uk/siteassets/image/refund-prices.pdf

Refunds for adults start at £30 for 3000 sales, and raise to £50 plus if sales hit 3500. Now here is what I think. It is very ambitious, and the club know it is, but I think the deal is brilliant. The deal applies to season tickets bought in full prices during the early-bird campaign, but not to season tickets bough on finance.

At the fans forum, Leigh Pomlett spoke about how he want’s to repay fans for their loyalty, and this is exactly that. It offers fans a reward for supporting the team, and what more can a fan ask.

It has been hit with it’s critics, with fans saying the figure is too high, and that it doesn’t mean anything because we won’t hit that number. I do agree that it is a high number, however I think that any lower, and the club would simply lose out on the much needed money. I also think that we need to respect Leigh Pomlett’s background. He is a businessman, he will have assessed, thought, and drawn out a plan to try and make it financially beneficial for both fans, and the club.

I hope that the fans recognise the effort and ambition by the club, and that they get behind it. I got some stick for saying this, but you can see by this, that the club are gearing up for a promotion push next season, and I for one, am already for next season, and the prospect of giving promotion a real good go.
