Walsall goalkeeper Neil Etheridge has today said he was disappointed and left in shock following Wigan’s last minute goal which sent the Saddlers down to fourth in League 1.
Etheridge has called on his team mates to get themselves back on track following three games without a victory which has left the Saddlers six points behind leaders Burton (could possibly be nine points after tonights game with Southend)
Speaking to Express and Star, Etheridge said “Came off the field yesterday feeling numb and in shock! I said before yesterday will not determine whether we go up or not, but it was just a massive kick in the teeth at the final stages of the game.’
“There are still a lot of games left and we need to get ourselves back on track to achieve what we set ourselves to do at the start of the season.”
