Neil Etheridge has today spoken exclusively to Vital Walsall following the news that goalkeeping coach Neil Cutler has today joined nearest neighbours West Bromwich Albion.

Etheridge worked under Cutler here at The Banks’s Stadium between 2015 and 2017 making eighty one appearances for the Saddlers, including our play off semi final with Barnsley.

Speaking to Vital, Etheridge said

‘I`m so happy for cuts and I spoke to him just after it was announced to congratulate him.’

‘His work ethic and his attention to detail was spot on throughout the time that I worked with him at Walsall. Helping me improve on the field mentally and physically.’

‘He`s a great goalkeeping coach and he deserves this opportunity to show what he can do at the highest level. He has taken myself and others he has worked with to a new level with his dedication to his job and his willingness to work on us as goalkeepers and himself as a goalkeeping coach.’

‘Like the others I`m sure, we can`t say thank you enough for the time and effort he put into us while working with him and now it`s his time to work with the best.’

We would like to thank Neil for taking the time out to speak to Vital Walsall and wish him the best of luck at helping Cardiff to the Premier League.
