Walsall midfielder and fans favourite Stuart Sinclair praised the 232 Walsall fans that made the trip to Morecambe on Tuesday night and said it was a special moment to hear his name sang from the Walsall faithful.
Sinclair scored his first professional goal for the Saddlers during our 1-0 victory (his other goal came in a friendly against Aston Villa) but Sinclair says its those moments that mean a lot to a footballer.
Sinclair wants to use the win as a stepping stone as the club look to make it back to back victories against Scunthorpe this weekend.
His commitment to the club doesn’t go unnoticed and Walsall fans appreciate those that give their all every game regardless of ability.
Speaking to Express and Star, Sinclair said
“It’s amazing isn’t it, that’s what football is about, that moment is what football’s about, you can’t recreate and get that anywhere else,”
“It’s a massive thank you to every single one of them because they create moments like that for us every game – we need to make sure we keep them here, keep them coming and keep the positive vibe because we can start stepping forwards now.”
