Fans Rally Around The Community!

|

During the lock-down, there have been many efforts by fans to help the community around them. But there is one Walsall group who have caught the eye and hearts of many, by helping out the front-line staff.

The Independent Saddlers Supporters Association have been providing hot food, water, soft drinks and more for the those hard working members of staff at the Manor Hospital, via a food van that is stationed outside the hospital. The van has been used by varying members of the emergency services, with many taking to social media to praise the idea, and thank them for helping in the time of need. Figures on the ISSA Facebook page, say that so far, over 1600 portions of food have been provided for the staff, which is a truly remarkable figure, and a figure that will continue to rise during this lock-down period.

The idea for this has seen many different fans from across the country, praising the initiative, and putting pressure on their own supporters clubs to replicate, which can be seen as nothing less than a huge success, to have fans wanting their clubs to follow suit. It has also shown how well Walsall fans will rally round a great idea, and help out the community when it needs a positive influence.

This initiative does need support however, and I am sure many of you reading this will want to contribute in some way. The best way to help out, is with a financial contribution. For this, head over to the ISSA facebook page, or visit their website at issawalsall.org to find out ways to help out.

Hiya all I suggested this morning a fundraiser page like the on e captain Tom did. I don’t know how you did it but I’m sure if we set it up not only fans but all people who seen what a great job Issa is doing would rally behind and get even more publicity through shares on Facebook. Would love to here feed back
    Cheers
