The World Cup is officially over and attentions now turn to the Football League season with it set to kick off in nineteen days time and fans have now started to worry about the squad we currently find ourselves with.
The Saddlers have made just four signings this summer Chris Dunn (Wrexham), Josh Ginnelly (Tranmere), Zeli Ismail (Bury) and Andy Cook (Tranmere).
Around seventy percent of the squad which just avoided relegation last season is still at the club and people have taken to social media to express their concerns.
Here are a few tweets from Saddlers fans –
I am starting to get really concerned about our squad for next season. @Daniel__Mole we need some good news. @VitalWalsall @upthesaddlers @TalkWalsall1

It’s really concerning we have our 2nd pre season game tomorrow & barely a squad. Surely pre season is to get fit but also gel as a team. We will still be doing this in September, most likely sacrificing a few points in the process. @VitalWalsall @WFCOfficial @Daniel__Mole

3 weeks until the start of the season and this is pretty much what we've got. Absolutely crying out for signings all over the pitch. Pull your finger out Bonser. pic.twitter.com/0TYWElhtTW

The Saddlers can sign players for a transfer fee (good joke) up until the 9th August but are able to sign unattached players/loan signings up until the 31st August should we need to.
There is still time for Dean Keates to bolster his squad but does leave very little time for them to ‘bed in’ with the rest of the squad.
