Ferrier Says The Saddlers Have Been Crying Out For Someone Like Martin

|

Walsall striker Morgan Ferrier has paid tribute to the Saddlers latest signing Russell Martin stating “it’s brilliant to have him” and Ferrier believes Martins experience will be beneficial to the young squad and exactly what the Saddlers have been crying out for.

The former Norwich City captain made his debut on Saturday at the expense of the injured Jack Fitzwater and Ferrier believes his know-how will help the side over the line.

The Saddlers have managed to keep just two clean sheets all season but its hoped with the arrival of Martin he can finally help the defence shut out silly mistakes.

Speaking to the Express And Star Ferrier Said

“Russ brings so much experience to that squad that is what we’ve been crying out for,”

“We need someone who has been there and seen it because we have got quite a young team. I feel like in games you can see sometimes we need an older head, someone with a bit of experience to help us over the line.”

“I feel that Russ will bring that on and off the pitch, it’s brilliant to have him.”

The Saddlers now face Burton Albion at home this Saturday before facing Charlton Athletic at home on Tuesday.
