The Saddlers have faced Cheltenham just six times in our history – winning three and drawing three.
Cheltenham are managed by former Yeovil and Bristol City boss Gary Johnson. Cheltenham struggled in League 2 last season and finished 17th.
The last time both sides met was in 2009 where Michael Townsend put the ball into his own net as the Saddlers salvaged a draw at the Banks’s Stadium.
The last time both sides met at Whaddon Road the game ended in a 0-0 stalemate.
Given we don’t face Cheltenham very often and it’s a relatively short drive (1 hour and 16 minutes to be exact) we will take it and prepare ourselves for the annual home games against Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion!
