Fitting Winner For Devlin As Saddlers Win A Cup Tie!

|

The Saddlers made it to the second round of the FA Cup for the first time in two years after a 3-2 victory over near rivals Coventry City.

Goals from Andy Cook, Josh Ginnelly and Nicky Devlin sent the Saddlers into the second round in a game where there were more Coventry fans than Saddlers – but no matter what the glorified gambling Twitter accounts say it’s the result that matters, not the attendances!

Following defeats over the past two years to Macclesfield and Newport it was a relief to get into the Second Round.

However it was fitting that the match winner was scored by Nicky Devlin following the devestating news that our little Saddler Teddie lost his battle against krabbe yesterday.

Devo gave so much support to Teddie during his fight and was the man that carried him out on the Banks’s turf last season.

That win was for you Teddie. Our thoughts and condolences go out to Teddies family at this time.
