Flurry Of Bets On Former Rochdale Boss For Walsall Hot Seat

|

A flurry of bets overnight have seen former Rochdale Manager Keith Hill become the bookies favourite to replace Dean Keates as Walsall manager.

Hill was 14/1 on Thursday with SkyBet but a flurry of bets has seen his odds drop to 2/1.

Hill tried to get his Rochdale side to play football the right way and like Rochdale he will find himself on a very tight budget at Walsall.

During his time at Rochdale he won promotion twice from League 2 and established them as a comfortable League 1 side.

His one and only spell away from Rochdale came at Barnsley where he lost forty-one games out of seventy-five.

He was dismissed as Rochdale boss earlier this season with the side firmly in the drop zone – results have picked up and Dale now find themselves outside the relegation zone with three games remaining.

Hill is an outspoken manager and demands success, it will be interesting should he take over how he and Jeff would work together.
