Former Middlesbrough And Liverpool Youngster On Trial?

|

Many Walsall fans are suggesting that former Liverpool and Middlesbrough defender Tom Brewitt was the unknown trialist in last nights 4-1 defeat to Aston Villa.

Brewitt is rumoured to have partnered Jon Guthrie in the centre of defence last night and showed glimpses of what he can do. The 4-1 defeat will not help his cause for a contract but with the lack of defensive reinforcements you would believe Keates would take another look at him against Ajax tomorrow.

Brewitt was born in Liverpool and went onto the play for his boyhood club as part of their academy. Brewitt was limited to chances and decided to join Middlesbrough in 2017 and went onto Captain their youth side last season.

Brewitt is described as a big lad but has a bit of everything. He is comfortable on the ball, he is happy to put his foot into a tackle, he’s a good passer and he enjoys the physical side of the game.

Brewitt has represented England at Under 16 and 17 level.
