Former Peterborough And Walsall Midfielder Signs For Charlton

|

Charlton Athletic have this morning announced the signing of former Peterborough and Walsall midfielder Erhun Oztumer.

Oztumer was released by Bolton yesterday paving way for his move back to Charlton where he began his career.

Following his release from Charlton as a youngster he went onto play for Fisher Athletic before moving back to his homeland Turkey.

English side Dulwich snapped him up in 2012 before moving to Peterborough in 2014 and then onto Walsall in 2016.

Oztumer scored on his debut during our 3-1 victory over AFC Wimbledon in August 2016.

In two seasons with the Saddlers he finished top goalscorer, scoring fifteen goals in his first year and seventeen in his second. He was voted in the PFA team of the year for both seasons.

Since moving from Walsall to Bolton he made just ten appearances for Bolton and like most of the Bolton staff hasn’t been paid properly (if at all) for a few months.
