Former Players Return To Walsall As Coaches

Three former Saddlers academy graduates have today joined the club as academy coaches.

Matty Fryatt has become the Saddlers’ new Under-15s coach, George Bowerman has become the Under-11s coach and Mark Bradley will lead Strength & Conditioning Coach for all Academy age groups.

Fryatt played seventy times for the Saddlers between 2003 and 2006 scoring twenty-seven goals before moving to Leicester and then onto Hull, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest. Fryatt scored four goals in six games for England Under 19’s however his career was blighted by injury.

Bowerman didn’t have the illustrious career as Fryatt but did play fifty times for the Saddlers scoring nine goals. Bowerman then played for Woking, Accrington Stanley, Stourbridge, Altrincham, Stafford Rangers, Rushall Olympic and Hinckley.

Bradley appeared the most for the Saddlers with ninety-three appearances before moving onto Rotherham in 2010, where he featured for the Millers quite frequently in the Championship.

Matty Fryatt, George Bowerman and Mark Bradley will take up their positions with immediate effect.
