We are sad to report former winger Geoff Morris has passed away aged 66.
Morris joined Walsall in 1964 aged just 15 years old and went on to play for Port Vale, Shrewsbury, Kidderminster, Bangor and a stint in Australia with Brisbane.
He made his League debut for the club at the age of just 16 years and 218 days in a game against Scunthorpe United in September 1965 and in doing so became our youngest-ever player at senior level.
Going on to make 201 appearances for the club in all competitions, he was leading scorer in 1971/72 with 12 goals before moving on to join Shrewsbury Town at the turn of 1973.
Everyone at Vital Walsall passes our condolences to his family.
Rest In Peace Geoff.
