Former Saddlers Brother Joins Walsall On Loan From Aston Villa

Walsall have finally got involved on transfer deadline day with the signing of young Aston Villa winger Corey Blackett-Taylor on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Blackett-Taylor who is brother of former Saddler Daryl Taylor has featured for England at Under 17 and has made two first team appearances for Aston Villa – his first coming against Huddersfield in 2017 and then against Middlesbrough.

Walsall boss Dean Keates has thanked former Walsall boss Dean Smith for allowing the youngster to join on loan.

Blackett-Taylor has played the majority of his games at the Banks’s Stadium for Villa youth so will be familiar with the pitch. He is described as a winger that can play on either flank and can also play in the number ten role.

It seems with the signing of Blackett-Taylor the move for Jamie Ward would appear to have cooled down however we will continue to bring news throughout the day on that deal.
