Former Walsall And Aston Villa Striker Joins Gibraltar Side

|

Former Walsall striker Julian Joachim has made a sensational return to football at the grand old age of forty-four!

Joachim has signed a deal with Gibraltar national side Europa Point in a player-advisory role.

Julian played on loan for the Saddlers in 2005 scoring six goals in eight games. It was hoped his move would be made permanent however he moved to Boston United.

He started his career at Leicester in 1992 before moving onto Aston Villa, Coventry and Leeds before his loan move to the Saddlers.

After leaving Boston in 2005, Joachim went onto play for another SIXTEEN clubs in a thirteen-year period before retiring from professional football to concentrate on his new venture at Player Trader.

Player Trader is a scouting system used to identify young talent and he will be assisting the club trying to raise the profile of football in Gibraltar.

Europa Point finished second in the second division last season but will play in the National League after both divisions were merged this summer.
