Former Wrexham Defender Is A Marxed Man

|

Walsall boss Dean Keates wants to sign Olly Marx on a permanent deal but concedes there are other interested parties in the former Wrexham man.

Keates worked with Marx at Wrexham where he played ten times for the Red Dragons before joining Rushall on loan last season before being released by Wrexham during the summer.

Keates believes Marx is a prospect for the future and should Marx sign for the Saddlers then Keates will look to send him out on loan to gain experience.

Speaking to Express And Star Keates said,

“It’s a deal we might get done but I know there is a lot of interest in him from elsewhere as well. “He is young. In my time in charge of Wrexham he played 10 games for me. He had two loan spells out, including one at Rushall.”

“He’s not someone who I’d say will come in and go straight into the first-team. But if we get a deal done we will probably look at getting him out on loan.”

Marx featured in our 2-1 friendly defeat against his old side Rushall last Friday evening.
