The Gulls served up a fantastic win over relegation threatened Grimsby. This win is like six points to Torquay who are still in trouble themselves at the foot of the table. A Lee Thorpe hat-trick and a Jamie Ward goal along with Martin Paterson consolation saw for an entertaining game at Plainmoor, which brings them to within four points Rochdale.
