Of course this is only of interest to Saddlers fans due to Walsall’s sell on clause, which was rumoured to be 20% at the time the transfer went through. However the possibility of Matty moving today took another twist.

Following on the suposed interst from Scunthorpe, who seem to be dismantling a championship side for one better suited to league one, the papers today report that Leicester have turned down a 900,000 bid from Wolves. That would have given us a nice sum to add to the kitty!!

Of course rumours have been rife since Martin Allen took over, as many don’t see Matty as the type of forward which would suit the usual Mad Dog style of football. Especially as the rumour mill also links Leicester with MK Don forward Mr McClown.

As we reported Matty had put his house up for sale, well he has moved, but has remained in the area, just in a bigger better surroundings, so a move to the Dingles could be just the ticket.

The burning question is would any monies comming in be used to help team rebuilding. I feel the answer to that is yes, since it is an undiscussed fact that part of the transfer clause included a payment if Leciester stayed in the Championship (At the time of the transfer The Foxes looked to be going down). That money was used to help get us out of league two, so I see no reason why any additional money would not be made available to DD………Despite the popular choice to have a go at Jeff Bonser.
