Many Thanks to Hartlepool fan Scott Parkinson for his overview of Hartlepool’s season so far.

How long have you supported Hartlepool?
Since I was about 3 so 15 years

What are your highest/lowest moments of supporting Hartlepool?
Highest – Play off final 2005, although we got beat was a great experience and I’m sure others will agree!
Lowest – Getting relegated the season after the play off final!! (This season may overtake that)

How do you feel you have started the season?
Very very poorly! Our pre season games against Sunderland Middlesbrough and Hull filled everyone with great expectations, then we played Newcastle in our final game and the hammering set the tone for the season!!!

Your opinion on John Hughes and how club is run?
Hughes certainly talks the talk but I think it’s too late to have any effect on this season and he will be part of a big rebuild next year. Off the field I am one of many not quite happy with how the owners run our club, feeling we aren’t their priority.

What are your expectations for this season?
Relegation I’m afraid but a win against you boys could spark a turn around maybe!

Your Dangerman?
A fully fit Andy Monkhouse and Tony Sweeney in midfield together are dangerous with their trickery and energy!

Memories of a Walsall/Hartlepool match?
Best memory is the pigeons near us at your place last season…..

Prediction for Saturdays game?
2-1 pools!
Good luck for the game, within reason of course!

Everyone at VitalWalsall would like to thank Scott for this article and we wish Hartlepool all the best for the rest of this season – after Saturday of course!
