Grimsby Town

This could well be a season of two halves for the Mariners. After last seasons flirtation with promotion many thought they would be up there again. However manager and players left, the board promoted from within and fell flat on there faces. So in steps ex saddlers legend and former Grimsby hero Alan Buckley. I have faith that he will have Grimsby nearer the top of the league than the bottom come May. It is certain wins are more common than they were since his arrival. The players will not be given a smooth ride that is for sure.

Signs of rifts been healed are also appearing with news that striker Michael Reddy is now ready to stay and talk terms. News which is sure to warm the heart of many in the Pontoon !! Also some astute loan signings by the Buck may turn into permanent moves in January with winger Peter Till rumoured to be the first.

Although I predicted Grimsby to be up with the leading pack, I see the second half of the season to be better but too much damage has been done. But a top ten finish is likely and with a bit of luck who knows.
