Half term report Wrexham

Wrexham

Hard to judge due to the amount of injuries the team have had, but the one fact for sure is they are not where they want to be in the league. A 4-0 defeat at the hands of Boston set the alarm bells ringing a home draw and win let them breath a bit more easily. However the season long problem of poor away form resurfaced with them throwing away a two goal lead at relegation haunted Wrexham. Manager Dennis Smith has promised changes and a dip into the transfer market. The success of that dip may depend on how far the budget can be stretched.
The tightness of the league in general means that a good run could see one of a number of teams making a push for the play offs, Wrexham are no different but it maybe a bridge too far. The quality of the squad suggests that anything less than a top half finish would have to be viewed as failure.
It does look though my prediction of an outside bet for promotion via the play off`s is unlikely to come off.
